its a simple install into the PCM and you can get them for around 40bux from your local dealership..

Well I don't have a picture but your computer is in the far back corner on the passenger side of the engine compartment. You only have to take out two bolts and then slide out the computer. You will then need a torx, allen wrench, or small flat head screw driver to unbolt to more bolts that hold a little cover down. You might have to pry up on the piece a little and then when you lift that piece you see the LT1 KM pinch the clip on the front of it and lift.

It goes right into the PCM. It's easy as all hell. Just pull the PCM out of the mounting bracket, open up the panel, and you'll see it chillin in there. Pull her out.

LT4's came with roller rockers so they had a module that wasmade to allow a little more noise before saying that it is knock, stock LT1's dont have roller rockers so they dont have that tick that rr's make, i say just get it tuned.

since i have headers, is it sensing knock and "de-tuning" it by retarding the timing which in-turn makes my car slower? cause if so, then a simple $40 could go a long way.. right?

I'm running the lt4 km, but then again I installed 1.6 promagnum roller rockers.

it's very unlikely, you can hear more through headers then manifolds but if you dont have roller rockers then it shouldn't hear anything, now if your headers are banging against the k member then that can possibly cause it but just headers, you shouldnt have any problems. I've never been a fan of the LT4 KM, just get the car tuned since usually when you do rr's its because of a cam
