I was wondering if a cam is worth the $400? or could i spend it on some thing better?

are you talking cam only or including springs/rockers etc. Cam only you can get them for 250 new depending on the one you choose. If are talking buying used parts, you might be able to cover it with $400. Can you give more info for us?

Yeah that is new custom grind camsaft with everything to do the swap

keep saving esp if ya go with an aggressive grind. You'll need a heavyduty timing chain/gear set, and quality heads with complementary parts, and if you want to make the most of that custom grind then a dyno tune. No doubt though you could lay down some serious power with that, but all that supporting stuff has been what has kept me from adding a cam...financially.
