Water in my engine! Help!

Water in my engine! Help!
The other day we had a huge rainstorm. I tried to drive through a deep puddle and as I started through the intersection my car died. I found out that my K&N CAI sat low enough that it sucked a bunch of water into my engine. I pulled all the plugs and cranked it over and blew water out each cylinder, lots of water. I replaced the plugs and started it up. It chugged a little and had a hard time staying running. I kept it idled at 1500 rpm for awhile and took it for a drive. I found out as I would come to a stop and push my clutch in, the rpms would drop drastically and the car would die 95% of the time. If it doesn't die, it drops to 300 rpm and bounces between 300 and 500. Normally my car idles at 800-1000. However, while driving, there doesn't seem to be any indication there is anything wrong. The car performs normally until I come to a stop. Any ideas what else could be wrong? I drive a 93 z28. Also, there are no codes present. Thanks for the help.

A tip from a former Import tuner- Some Companies that make CAI's make what is called a " Dry Filter" or " Reserver Filter" - it goes in the upper portion of the intake tube- On our cars you could put it where the MAF an the K&N FIPK pipe connect..
It allows a secondary form of suction in the event that you suck air into your intake-
Its just a little foam filter..
I cant find a picture, but i know that AEM makes them
Good luck!

Checked all the fuses, no problems. There is also no ticking or knocking. I'm 99% sure there are no bent rods, I think I got really lucky. But I'm still not sure waht is causing the low idle, I'll have to do my compression check. Thanks everyone.

Check your sensors in your intake manifold- Ie - TPS, MAF, and IAC, IAT...
Im sure that IAT and the IAC sucked air into them..
And your MAF could have possibly shorted out...
