Default CAM help

alright i have been told that i will need a tune to run this cam. but i will be putting it into my brand new rebuilt stock lt1. so will i be able to start it up and break it in without out the tune on the car. and long can i go without the tune.

CAM-@.50 its 232/244 .515/.545 cut on a 113. Its a custom grind from Xtreme Horsepower.

You should be able to fire it up and break in without any problems, it'll probably run a little funky until the computer gets the new parameters sorted out in closed loop once she warms up, but think you'll be fine until tuning.

Yea, you should be able to run it. Then you will notice a nice difference with the tune..

I broke in my new motor with a 847 in it. 234/242 .538/.558 on a 112. Car ran funky at first, but smoothed out alittle after the ecm learned alittle. you will be fine.

how'd you like the sound of the 847 once she smoothed out? I know I loved it when I ran it

Well I sold her, and needless to say I miss the hell out of that car. I wanted to cry when the guy drove off. I also had to ride shotgun when he test drove it. That was really wierd, I havn't rode on that side of my car in over 3 years.
