Default problems after longtube install... help me =(

We installed the long tubes yesterday, and when I started it up, it backfired VERY loud, like a shot gun(open header). it sounded good idling, but the car shakes very hard(used to be manifolds into open Y pipe), and it didn't shake before. I tried to drive it down the street, really low power, and backfiring constantly.

I don't have my rear O2's in though, so maybe that could be it. Also, anyone know a way to tighten the bolts better? Man, I suck lol.

i used a small wrench, no ratchet wouldnt fit, open or closed end which ever fits better, and i know a 12 point wrench is usally a no no on a 6 point bolt but it makes tightening way easier

Stage 8 locking bolts

At least use 1" bolts, the 3/4" will keep coming loose on you.

My friend's car ran like **** with open headers... but after about 1hr of driving down the highway (yes I went deaf for a few days). The 02s were so close to the atmosphere that we figure the readings were getting screwed up? Just a thought... the car didn't so much shake, inasmuch as every thing that could rattle, did.

yea thats what I got, love those things, they are a chore to install but you will definitly love them once they are on.

As far as the shaking are the headers open? If so thats what it is, and the lack of power if you dont have any rear 02s thats what it is, but if you are running 02 sims then it might be they are messed up

Make sure you got the firing order correct first.
Double check everything you touched.
