Yup, NOW is the time to get into a ZR-1.

When the C5 Z06 came out in 2002 and matched the ZR-1 with its 405hp, the price bottom out. We are starting to see ZR-1 prices pick back up. That car mentioned above would have been a $20k car last year.

Its the normal 15 year rule with desirable Corvettes...., They have lost all they are going to and will begin to go up in value. What is good for the buyer looking for a ZR-1 is that so many of these cars were brought as toys and not as daily drivers. Therefore their condition is outstanding and mileage is low.

I would LOVE to see a big inch ZR1 motor with ported heads, aftermarket cams, and a couple of T-67 turbo's. I think you could realistically see 1200+ hp from a pump gas, streetable combo.

Might have a correction for you Speed Density.

If that was the Palm Beach BJ auction, only one 91 car crossed the block and that ZR-1 sold for $30,000 and it had 23k miles on it.

See..., The Prices are going up!!!

.....another project going on is a 377tt and it will be firing up shortly also. Completely adjustable boost! 55 lb primary + 83 lb secondary injectors will get the job done on this beast! I am expecting around 1200rwhp on this one....... Mike Ebert of ESS, Inc.

And yea..., he is one of those 4 or 5 guys who knows what to do with a LT5.

From the sounds of this thread, looks more like the LT5 is a complete built race motor... And thats just what it is, would explain the price difference. I didn't know it pushed that car to 175 for 24 hours.... Man, crazy I want that motor in my '95 Camaro now..
