AZM Monoblade question?
Ordering an AZM Mono soon and have a question. My LT4 intake was custom ported all the way through including matchup for a 58mm TB. But when I go mono what happens to the bottom part middle of the intake? Believe it's something for the IAC on the bottom of the TB but honestly not sure. Am I supposed to leave that part alone. I know I can trim the top off but not sure if I leave the bottom alone. Thanks for any advice.

When you remove the divider between the throttle bores, the IAC inlet will have to be ground down so it's not obstructing airflow. Just make it even with the bottom of the throttle body opening and you are good to go. When I was running an LT4 intake, I just sealed mine off to prevent oil/sludge from getting in there. The monoblade has its own IAC built in as you'll see when you have it in hand. The downside is there isn't individual IAC openings in each runner like you have running the factory IAC and a twin bore throttle body but there is no way around this with the monoblade. It worked fine on my solid roller when I was using it.

Would you guys recommend getting a 52mm or 58mm TB with bolt ons and a 150 shot? Will it help my numbers at all? I thought about getting mine ported, but I don't know, or if I should just get a new one.

I've got the monoblade running on my setup as well, another 396 LT4 solid roller with a big *** cam. Hopefully I put down numbers similar to Brettinator here. I'm just looking for low 12's at this altitude myself, 4500 and higher depending on the weather.

I never had a problem with my monoblade and the throttle sticking.
Brettinator, I also toyed around w/ the idea of a 4bbl TB but didn't want a conventional aircleaner under my WS.6 hood and wanted to keep the MAF for now. I can't see the elbow being a major restriction, at least compared to the LTx style manifolds but we'll see. My setup is basically a max effort street car that may spend 10% of the time on the track. I'm very interested in hearing about how your project progresses so keep us posted. I'm hoping Ill be posting up some new dyno graphs of my own by next week.
