Angry LT1 Plug Change Help

Well I got 3/4 of the way through the plug change on my LT1 and I have run into a problem.....I have been able to get all but plugs 6 and 8 (passenger side rear). All of the other ones came out relatively easy from the top, however these last two make my hands hurt just thinking about trying to do them again. This is on a car w/ hooker supercomp LTs, and I have the shortened socket w/ a ratcheting wrench. I'm pretty sure if I try hard I could get #8, but the oil dipstick is making #6 look impossible. Anybody have any hints as to how to approach these 2 plugs??

I have LTs on mine and as long as you don't mind lying on your back you can do it. Those last two have to be reached from underneath. Just take your time.

for that one the easy way to do it is from the bottom, remove the starter and should be easy to get to

From the bottom....might have to remove dipstick and use a wrench, with 1/8 turns Putting my pacesetter LTs on with stage 8 locking bolts was damn near impossible...the ENTIRE length of the instalation was getting the ******* bolts in...using different length wrenchs with about 1/4 and 1/8 turns on them bolts...took SO long

Yea thats pretty much it. I get all mine from the top except the driver side rear I get that one from underneath. I usually lay on top of the engine and get the 2 you need from the top. I also move the dipstick around a little also. Its a major pain the *** but i have done it so much i can do all 8 plugs in about 1hr. Also running the wires on the driver side will also be a pain. Sorry bro, thats why when its time to work on my LS1 I go outside like this . When its LT1 time Im like

Or don't remove it, and have a crazy fireworks show every time you drop the wrench onto the starter positive Not speaking from experience or anything...

I have Jet-Hots which are very similar to Hookers with the collectors and yes, #6 is from the bottom and was by far the hardest to remove. I used a standard spark plug socket with a 3/4" wratchet wrench for all my plugs; it worked great. When I got #8, my head was about a foot forward of the header flange...that should tell you just how awkward #8 is.
