I would hate to go back to not having one. I have one in my garage at home. John (works for me) can have my engine out in 45 minutes, easy. Makes all maintenance much easier. You will probably find yourself not using a floor jack for much anymore.

Think about central heat and air for it when you do. Mine is a ten car attached, but when you drive up it doesn't look like that much of it is garage.
I have one short stall at the back side for the lift. Can't even see that door from the street. Just looks like a three car garage from the street. Can't tell, with the doors down, that part you can see is also three cars deep. If you are thinking about coating the floor, do that before you move anything into it or use it, while the concrete is still clean. I did that, and had to stay off it for a week for it to harden. Cleans up easy. I had a five ton AC unit installed. 100 degree Oklahoma summer outside, 72 degrees inside when I need to use it.

Can't wait to see how your car runs.

The pictures where taken with a Canon 20D (8.4 Megapixel DSLR) using a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens.

Man, how I'd love to do A/C in my 30x30 shop... but I dread the electric bills. They're already bad enough.

It's been ~105 lately inside my insulated shop on the weekends. That's with doors open and fans blowing. There are some days I don't last more than 20-30 minutes before I get a case of the skrew-its and go back in the house.

I was hoping for some rain this coming weekend, just to cool things down. No such luck. I'm going to be painting some parts this weekend (built a small booth in the shop), and that tyvek bunny suit gets awful hot awful fast. I may try to sleep all day and work all night...

I don't run mine all that much, I don't mess with that car as much as some seem to think. Don't have a lot of time for that. It usually just sits on the trailer until I get time to go run it. If I get in from Firday night test & tune and need to do something to it before the Saturday afternoon race, I'll turn it on when I get home, let it run overnight so it isn't starting off in the heat of the day, and it is nive and cool when I get up the next morning. I shut it off when I get through with the car. Wife hasn't complained about the electric bill yet. It's even hotter down where you are, so you would really appreciate it. Just run it when you really need it.

Tony, I'll try to get some pictures. It doesn't look like a NASCAR garage. May have to just mail them. I'm old.
