110* or 90* Elbow?
110* or 90* Elbow? My Victor EFI will be here in the next few days and im trying to get my elbow in order.
Most guys run 90* Elbows but also have an SS or Cowl Hood.
Ive talked to Aaron at intakeelbows.com and Harold at PortPros.com and they recomend the 110* for clearance on the stock hood.
My question is-Will that extra 20* hurt flow? It seems minor but in anycase any thing is restrictive.
Its also a 58mm Intlet, I had purchased a holley 58, but im selling instead to get an ASM Monoblade.

This is why you need more than a 90 degree. I have the 100 or 110 (cant remember). Notice how the engine sits straight and horizontal to the ground but the hood and fenders slant down to the front. A 90 will not work unless you have a huge cowl inducted hood that is raised all the way down to the radiator area.
my 100* was 2.5" from clearing the hood. I have a WS9 hood. All I have is 4" of clearance.
So Im now making a template for Aaron at IntakeElbows.com to fab me up a nice elbow to maybe clear, and that will accept a 58mm AS&M TB I just purchased.
