95 Vs 97

I have a buddy that has a 97 A4 with just and intake a 3.23 that swears up and down he will walk me i.e. When his tranny is fixed blew it up. lol. But i tell him that it would be a drivers race if anything. I have CAI Exhaust Tune and a trans go but only 2.73. Would do you guys think. funny thing is he beats the hell out of his thats why the tranny is gone he also has about 3K more miles then me if it would matter. Also shouldnt I be somewhat lighter he has t-tops im hard top.??

dead stop run you would probley lose if he can drive but on a roll he would pull on you but you would be able to pull him back due to your gears but you never know

wow are they really that much faster or is it the gear difference. I have a 3.42 Set i will be putting in would that even the odds.

I went from 2.73s to 4.10s , and yes, gears make quite a difference. I know the gap between both your ratios isnt a ton, but sometimes its all it takes is a little more gear.
