slp or k&n?

slp or k&n? i'm looking to try to get my parents to get me a cai for christmas and i wonder which one i should get. i know the k&n costs more but that doesn't mean it'll be better. i doubt there will be much difference but i'm looking for opinions even if it's not what i have listed.

SLP is a lot more pimp. Most people that don't like it either have issues with heat soak or don't want to pay that much for an intake. I thought the SLP was more expensive than the K&N. I can't remember how much I paid for mine back in the day.. that was a long *** time ago.

SLP is more sexy, and really does not heat soak as much as people think, I check it sometimes after driving around and it really isnt hot to the touch at all maybe a LITTLE warm but so was my friends PLASTIC cai 
I got a SLP CAI on ebay for like 40 dollars cheaper then SLP, it was brand new and free shipping, and just from the slp cai I chirp 2nd not even trying not even into the gas that much either
