Is the plastic melting?
Moroso has no heat soak. LT1's in general have heat soak problems due to the aluminum head, and so on and so forth..

But Im pretty sure a plastic intake won't cause heatsoak. Its never happened to me anyways.

I cracked my last one when I changed the filter and got pissed ( I put all my weight on it... long story, dont ask ), so Honda Hunter hooked me up with another one.

and Honda...
Works great man!! Cleaned up nice!

Filter was dirty as a ***** though....

Glad it worked out. Sorry about the filter. I live in a dust bowl lol.

I dont think the IAT effects performance but the hot air going in does. When my iat temps are high I see small amounts of knock at idle.

I think were paying for the look, and the name. We could make our own but it wouldnt look as nice.

A few laps around the track and my SLP is "cold". Yeah, it heat soaks at idle. But it cools off real fast when the rpm's come up--even on the dyno. Everything I've seen shows all CAI's are pretty much the same in head-to-head tests.

So, in my case, I just liked how it looked...

I like my Moroso alot. If I couldnt have got the Moroso I would have got a K&N . The only downside is the filter install from the bottom.
