Removing AIR
Removing the AIR pump leaves three openings -- one on the intake ductwork prior to the MAF (intake for pump), and two ports on the exhaust manifolds. The intake ductwork can be patched with a vacuum cap from the autoparts store, but the exhaust manifold fittings are more tricky. Some people use M16/M22 drain plugs from NAPA, some use JB Weld to epoxy a coin into the fitting, others simply leave the fittings in place and bend the tubing shut. You're basically limited to the type of tools you have and the bolt section of your local hardware store.
You'll most likely have to cut the U-shaped AIR pump pipe from the engine -- it's nearly impossible to remove in one piece.
So long as there is a good AIR pump fuse, you shouldn't get any DTCs on a 1995.
