So i just did some research and I just found that the .500 and .00 is the same thing ...the .5 comes from the delay between 3rd yellow and green...so apparently soem dragways slap a .5 befor the 00 since its a .5 delay....weird So a .016 would be a .5016 where you race But when using the .500 what happens when 2 drivers get .00s? they just get a tie at .500? lolol

But I do know that IHRA uses 0.0000

ihra and nhra both use the .400 and .500 tree format ... never heard of a .000 tree. your track just subtracts the .500 from your slip. also ihra and nhra use a pro .400 tree in the big show. .516 would also be your reaction time ... and r/t means jack crap unless you are racing heads up, or bracket racing. i have cut my fair share of decent lights ... not that difficult once you learn your car. then lastly most bracket classes use the pro .400 tree, try to redlight on that tree ;] you have to be on your toes to cut anything under a .440!

So you guys are deffinitly saying get slicks and not even to worry about a electric water pump? I was just thinking it was a mod i could do to conserve the life of this rear end and my clutch, and mabey give me that last push into the 12's.

I would get the slicks.. My last time at the track, I had some decent launches, but I could do a hell of alot better with slicks, or drag radials.

well man i have a e-waterpump and double roller timing chain i will prolly put on next week. i get a few suspension items and we might be pretty close, or at least closer than it is now, need to get my launch down, but i will prolly need a little suspension work to get a better 60ft since im lowered

it is all up to you man! the elec. w/p would probably free up 6-10hp from what I have seen ... the cooling effect would be amazingly better then the stock pump as well. a better 60' will get you that 12, and dr's would :] it is all up to you! do what you feel is needed!

4000-5000 slip, i should have just dumped it. It didnt occur to me that wih the amount of traction compound down i might just hook.

lot braver than me on the stock rear, i went to the track last night and after breaking my rear about a month ago, i was being a wuss on the line that and the gears were kicking my ***, 3.23's in a 6 speed sucks, get some bearing replaced today and get a girdle and then i will feel a little better about launching it hard off the line

An eletric waterpump is just going to save you a couple HP. If youre going to do that, might as well get 30% pullies too.
Even so, thats only another 15hp. Maybe a tenth's difference.

If you decide to get slicks, or drag tires, get another set of wheels for the back.
As long as the tire is wide, traction has more to do with the tread pattern, and compound of the rubber.

you dump it from 4,000 on radials you will hook ... the rear end may not like it ... but if you feel any wheel hop let out instantly.
