Well it was running when i poured it but it died right away. I was doing it by myself so i just poured the rest of the bottle in and went to start it up thats when all hell broke loose. No lights dim when i try and start it pretty much does nothing. Ill be pulling the starter just to get it checked and go from there. Security light is not on. I just cant see one bottle of seafoam locking up a 8 cylinder motor but hey we will see once i figure out whats going on with the starter or ignition switch. One more question ive got power to the fuses that are controlled by the ignition switch but nothing down by the starter when i turn the ignition. What could be causing the break from the fuse to the starter???

Thanks

Liquids do not compress so you need to pull the plugs and crank the motor over by hand. My money says that you dumped in the whole can, tried to start it and the starter gear engaged and got stuck on the flywheel when the engine didn't turn. You are lucky the thing didn't start because if it even tried to it would have fucked up a lot of internals.

My advice: Pull the plugs and crank it backwards by hand to disengage the starter gear. You should hear it snap back down. Then crank it forwards BY HAND to purge all the seafoam out. Spin it over several times to make sure you have the majority out.

Future advice: RTFM.

Keep us posted and good luck!

Well it turns out the starter was the problem I finally pulled it out and got it checked. Put a new one in from the corvette and she cranked right up first try. Maybe because i let it sit for 3 weeks the seafoam evaporated and ended up causing no damage im probably lucky the starter took a crap and never started with all that stuff in the intake.

Thanks for everyones help shes running now time to sell her. After this experience i realized i just dont have the time to be messing with a car and Im in need of some cash for a wedding. Look for my for sale post in vehicles for sale in the next couple of days if anyone is interested.

Thanks again
