well considering that the flowmaster is about the worst catback you could put on, I'd say yea. But I have no proof.

i cant say that it sounds "better" because i dont think the flowmaster sounds all that bad, compared to other exhuasts on the market. but the hooker def. flows alittle better. y dont you put an electric cut out in you i-pipe? you will see a big gain with that! upwards of 20 hp.

The Hooker Cat Back has a great sound to it, and it flows really good. I recommend it. Bob

I had a complete hooker exhaust system (super comp headers, y-pipe, and catback) and it sounded really good. But i'm the kind of person that needs some noise and got a SLP loudmouth for it and it is what i needed and it gives you more horsepower compared to the hooker. when it all comes down to it, it is personal preference.

i've got a hooker and i love it... i thought the "aero chamger" design was bullshit but when i put it on the car and rev'ed it up it sounded great. the hooker offers a nice sound at idle that is loud enough to get noticed but not be obnoxious, and at WOT it screams... i say get one and u won't disappointed. below are two videos of my car so u can hear the exhaust. however in both videos the car has headers and no cat but u can get an idea of the sound
