Default A.I.R. Plug ideas

So my new (to me) 96 TA is ready for a road test since the opti/clutch/trans repairs and I noted that one of the AIR valves coming from the BBK headers is not connected and is belching exhaust into the the engine compartment. I plugged it with a short piece of radiator hose and a 1/2" NPT pipe plug in the hose with a hose clamp-- very redneck.

For those of you guys who delete the emissions crap, what do you do to plug these things?

Appreciate it in advance.

On my 97 I used a 3/4" fine thread bolt (not a plug) in the exhaust manifold. It seems this varied from year-to-year, some using metric sizes.
