You hold the gears and manually shift buy putting the shifter in 1-2 or 3 jst like you would drive. If you dont see the 1st you need to get rid off the little plastic peice in there to acess it.

No you dont need it there is a little nylon or plastic blocker under there to stop shifting into 1st just remove the top of the center console and you shold see it i think its white just cut it off and you can now acess 1st with no prob. There is an actuall detailed way to do this in a post around here if you need more info. Its pretty straight forward though.

If your serious about winning races you don't want the tranny shifting so hard it lays a good patch from first to second.
Is it fun when it does that? HELL yes, but its wasted power.
I used to have a 60E with the Trans Go kit and it would hit second hard. Too hard.
The Rossler TH400 I have in the car now does not chirp if I have the DRs on and just a barely audible chirp with street tires on. It still shifts hard but its not wasting the power.

I have my line pressure adjusted pretty well in my 4L60E ... it shifts hard, and when I first got it back it would chirp very easily ... now I pulled back some pressure, and fine tuned it to the point where it chirps occasionally, but normally it is very low and hard to hear with the street tires.
