Default **question for you 383 guys**

i have a 383LT1 stroker on the way here with 11 to 1 compression and forged pistons and i was wondering which fuel injectors i should get for it, and spark plugs. thats the only 2 things i have to purchase. i usually buy the acdelco's and i have used ngk's also.

I thing the Ford 42# injectors would be a good setup for you. My engine is similar to yours, and that's what I use.

42lb inj. will tune easier with your set up than the 50lb.
42s will be all you need

yup 24lb is stock.

travie319 I have 30's on mine! runs like a champ!
and I use autolite 104's

yes many people do use the 30lb inj. nothing wrong with them at all.
however if you go to www.eportworks.com Mr.Elliot says for the most power you should have a 58mm 36-42 lb inj.+the typical mods like longtubes,3.73-4.10gear,3000-3800 stall if auto.so i would go without hesitation to the 42s

I have had one 383 and I am getting my second. Their is no specific answer for "383." What you need to know is the horsepower the motor is going to make. My last 383 made 370 rear wheel with 30 # red top Ford injectors. My new motor will be using 42's as it is a much more aggressive combination. Good luck!

what built lt1 said. it depends on the cam and comp. i ran 30s for awhile and later changed cams and went to 36s.

I got #30's with NGK TR 6's on mine with a small *** cam and still made a lil over 400 RWHP. 30's are running good on mine. But yeah I think you should get 36's or 42's

the bigger the injector, the more difficult the tune...its harder to make a big injector behave like a small one than it is to make a smaller one behave like a big one. If you go 50's, its liable to be pretty rich at idle, though you will leave room for more fueling for future mods. i concur with the ford 36's as our fuel pressure is a bit hight than the fords, it would probably flow a bit higher than 36.

I would probably buy 36 lb. inj....... and I know 42 lb inj. won't hurt......
I have a pretty agressive cam....high 230's and high 240's on a 110 lsa
and I have all the other goodies to support it....
It really all depends what duty cycle you run your injectors at......and then you take it from there!
I would recommend 36lbs.......but I think a 42lb inj. is uneccesary, unless
he plans on putting out 460+ rwhp......(N/A)
but like I stated before the 42's won't hurt......

I have 60# in mine, but for your application I'd either do 36's or 42's. both would give you levrage for future mods.
