Default LT4 Knock Module guys come on in

Ok so I put in a LT4 KM and I think I noticed some improvements but I'm not sure if its all in my head. So I was wondering, all of you who have the LT4 KM, what improvements, if any, did you notice after installing it?

I did not notice anything different either when I put my first 383 in. However, it does not mean it did not work or benefit!

no different to me but I would understand if you felt a difference if you previously had knock and the lt4 km took care of it.

I dont think it makes knock go away. It just changes what the computer does when it does detect knock. Hook up a scan tool like Freescan and check for knock. Then install the LT4KM and youll still see the same amount of knock. I'm guessing with it the computer does retard as much timing and bounces back quicker than without it.

The LT4 Knock sensor is better when you have Roller Rockers because the lt4 had them stock. False knock from valvetrain is less detected from the LT4 module and that seems to be why people switch.

Noticed a big difference. The car ran much smoother afterwards, it was sort of erattic due to the headers until I put the KM in.

I was getting 3-4 degrees of timing pulled out from a little knock being detecting around 4000-4500 rpm at WOT in mine. Started some time after the headers, I was kinda figuring it was false knock so I snagged a LT4KM. I've only datalogged it on a couple WOT runs after the LT4KM install but it seems to have eliminated the knock completely, hopefully that wasn't a fluke...

Knock or Ping some people call it. Is a sign of detonation. The knock module "listens" for a destinct sound that knock makes and the lt4 improves over the lt1 because it is not as sensitive to other noises like headers, or exhaust. So say u change your headers and u notice through datalogging that u now see some KR "knock retard" which is what the computer does to reduce knock/detonation which in turn damages your engine. Knock is caused by running to much timing. Most of the time it has to do with the oct ane gas you run. When i changed mine i noticed little change with my 383 as well. but it did keep the KR down lower. I ordered mine from the internet somewhere cant remember
