Default Got my Weight for Racing...

I just got my Chassis weight done on the car for racing it. I weighed in at 3250lbs chassis, 3370lbs with 12 gallons of gas in it. There was a guy there with a '03 GT Mustang hardtop, and he weighed 3800lbs.. I didn't think there were that heavy.. looks like some of us F guys have an advantage.

I got the 1/8 mile in 8.07 with a 2.1 60'. If I had me some slicks, it would be in the 7's easily. Haven't had the chance to 1/4 mile it, it's 2 hours away. Trust me, that thing hauls some serious ***, most of the people thought I had a stroker cause of how fast it was moving. It's just a little home built LT1, with the right stuff in it..
I got an offer to sell it cause some guy was looking for a Stripper car to make a drag car, I was like hell no, this is my race car.

mine tipped the scales at 3580 with me(205lbs) in it, on 1/4th tank of gas. Nothing much for weight reduction just a few things :]

Not much really, removed the Back Seats, Spare Tire and Jack, and the AC System cause it stopped working. It is a Factory Hard Top, with manual Windows and Locks, and no options, hence the name "Stripper". It came from the factory that way.

only thing out of mine is the spare tire and jack. it is also a hardtop. a/c has a lot of weight to it ... did you pull everything out for it? even under the dash?

without me in the car, and I forget how much gas, I've got my Roadmaster down to 4000lbs even. Was 4100lbs but with COnvo Pro wheels, 100lb weight saving :0

I have yet to weigh mine but I've got everything removed under the dash, HVAC is gone, sheetmetal door panels, racing seats, tubular kmbr, tubular a arms, drag brakes, QA1's, manual master cylinder and manual steering rack... I'm expecting about 3100 with me in it.... and trying to break the 1,000hp mark on spray......

should be exciting..... mine is a "stripper" as well..... It's one of 106 1LE models built in 1995.... no a/c, power windows, power locks, and manual seats....(although the manual seats are gone replaced by kirkeys)

that is pretty low for yours... is it an all out drag car???? cause 8's in the 1/8 sounds like it's still pretty lightly modded.......

Ya seems right ... normally race weight lt1 street cars range in the 3500-3600 range depending on how fat the driver is! best weight reduction? go on a diet!!!
