what do yall think about spraying it to 6500 and shifting at 6800? is it that much harder than spraying to 6200 and shifting at 6500?
shon car is light...launches hard, he shifts FAST...and its a stick so it makes decent power on top end...alota boltons...
matt those are good for 3640 raceweight...mines about 3400...
frank95 those are good...i think im going to see how it runs when it gets to about 70 degrees around here...if it runs 11.90 or 11.70 like the DA calculator said it should in 70 degree weather...i might just pull out the 306 and get a custom joe o cam dyno tune at shoot for your record...and that 60 is amasing...guess im goign to have to get some suspension...

First decide if you are going to spray or if you are going to run N/A.
the way I see it you are trying to set the car up for both and you do not have the set up for both, i am guessing that you have reprogrammed for the lower shift points for the spray and do not have say 2 PCMs to switch between what you are going to be doing.
I see the fear of bearing loss N/A or Spray. But in either case, you are leaving HP on the table, if the cam is making power at 6800 then it will make more power on the spray at that RPM.
I dont know how you got the spray set up or how the tuning is done but you could do a window switch to cut the spray off before the 6800 area and have the PCM tuned so it will shift at 6800 OR get 2 PCMs tuned and swap them when you want to spray.
OR change the cam so you are not spinning it so far and then spray it too. Example: with my 94 355 LT4 H/I/HOT cam/A3/3500/3.73 it shifted at 6000 went 11.96@113 at 3450#s, switched to 28" tires and put the 100shot on there and went 11.17@119.5 no other changes.
Another tidbit, wait till it cools off before you make any more decisions b/c racing in the heat is not fun.

well i could switch between 2 computers...thats a decent idea...but my spray will be on a window swtich with a mallory box only on when the n20 is on....so it wont be pulling timing....
i dont mind pulling it to 6800 but on the spray i didnt want to...i dont wanna spray past 6400 o max...you think i can spray to 6400 and pull it n/a to 6800 and not lose much time...i just figured the loner i spray it the better so i wanted to spray until about 100-200 rpm before the shift...and im not goana spray to 6600-6700...

^^^ Your making this way more complicated than it needs to be. If you have a 4l60e I would not spray during the shifts. Get a window switch set it to 100 rpms before your shift points and be done with it. If the motor makes power untill 6800 shift it at 6800. To run as fast as possible with a givin setup, there will allways be a chance your gonna break. If your woried about breaking dont even put nitrous on the car. I dont see the point of cutting the nitrous out 500rpms before redline, because thats when your getting the most benifit from the nitrous .

I would spray it to what ever RPM you wanted to, knowing higher is better for ET/MPH. Just set the PCM to shift at 6800 and the window to stop at 64/6500 if that is as high as you want to go, it will nose dive slightly but you get the best of both worlds.
