how do you make them fit under the valve cover with out rubbing?

dues to the center post valve covers, there is a support beam that runs from the intake to the exhuast side. On the intake side of the beam, you "crush" the "L" lip at the bottom the the support. vise grips to flatten it, on a grinder to remove it. takes longer to get the valve cover off, than to mod it. Have you looked at the underside of the valve cover? if you have, you should understand what I'm talking about.

there is an "L" beam that runs from the intake to exhuast side of the valve cover, right where the bolt is. You need to flaten the bottom of the "L" lip, into and "I", and then all is well.

LoL.. Just cut out the support's and leave the post's for the valve cover bolt's...

You can clearance the covers as stated before, or Canton makes nice fabbed valve covers that work.

won't that promote the valve covers to leak? due to them flexing? and why would you wanna go thru MORE work, when it can be done so quick. it's only about 20 or so crimps, vs hack saw and an hour later.
