Ok just got my car back today with all the mods it sounds sick and I love it. Heres my confusion. I raced my buddy 3 times 30-90 and was dead even. His car: 99 TA M6 lid,exhaust,5.0 shifter....My car should have near 400ish at the wheels...WTF?!?!?

could be. those 50lb injectors could be killing you to, as they're way overkill on what you're working with.

well did the tune include the use of wideband?? what does your AFR look like at WOT. anything over 2" of vacuum at WOT indicates an intake restriction...

Why would you need 50# injectors? I know Lightning guys making way more power than you with 42's. I dont think youre making the power you think you are. You need to get it tuned then put it on the dyno and find out were youre really at. Did you buy your heads new or used? Wouldnt judge to much off of racing on the street from a roll.

My 5.0 with a SICK list of mods runs only 14's. Thats why I will never mess up a factory car again. Going stock LS1 next summer

It was def a !$350! wideband tune. the heads are stock casting ported..and they flow well! Got a good deal on the 50lbs figured they wouldnt hurt that much.

I can only think of a few things. Im guessing 30mph was a dead spot for you. When you raced, was that 2nd gear? If not, it must have been really close with your gear. So, that would make the race a little better for the LS1. 30mph rolls for LS1's are perfect...

Either way, you should have started to pull on him up top. Although, if you did start in second, you would be playing catch up and this race would make sense.

Now, if you started in first and the race was even to 90, i say that your car is putting down no more than 300Rwhp and something is wrong...His car probably isn't making any more than 315-320Rwhp. 300Rwhp in an LT1 A4 would make sense to stay side by side next to him...

You need to get your car dyno tuned.

I can mess around with slightly modded LS1's, if you have a heads and cam kit you should be dusting them.

WHat have you dynoed?

How do you like that Fuddle stall? I think mine is effed up, and if it is, I got it that way. Mine is also a 3400, with a 2.1 STR. On the dyno we couldn't get it to hold, it was slipping. It also feels like it slips on the street. It is a lock up converter and it VERY RARELY locks up, no matter how easy I baby it.

He could be having the same issue and not realise it. A bad converter can make for a slow car. My Yank went bad and it was one of the last things I thought to look at.

A Yank going bad kinda makes you wonder about any torque converter you get.
