Default Msd ?

I thought these were more expensive. What am I missing besides this? It's the first time I've had to deal with this kinda stuff. I'm throwing a PO300 and my plugs/wires are fine, so I'm starting to upgrade the rest..

edit: of course i'll get the appropriate year, but they're priced the same

its just the cap and rotor...its not the entire opti. not worth the money imo. if you going to spend the money on that, i would spend a few extra bucks and get the accel opti

Ya I've been doing research too. I actually found a complete Delteq setup for 400. So once I get in contact with the seller, I'm def going that route for the price. If not, I think I'm going to save up for it anyways, seems a lot better for down the road

you have to understand that the delteq doesnt take the opti out of the picture completely. and if your opti is acting up now, your still going to probably have to replace it anyways.

just get a new oem opti, they last plenty long as long as you dont have oil being slung or dripped onto it.

that is a good deal. A factory cap and rotor kit cost about the same if not more.

MSD has treated me real well. There customer service is better then any I have ever used!

I recently installed a MSD opti, its a real nice piece. It eliminates having a in between harness like the factory, the wires are sealed into the unit and run all the way up to the connector by the manifold. +/- 7 degrees of timing, supposed to be stable to 10k rpms, the cap and rotor. I found it worth the money when a reman opti + cap and rotor is only $100 cheaper, don't know what a new oem goes for but every option seems expensive!

Oh yeah and for all us ODB-1 cars that didn't get that vacumm stuff to keep the opti dry, yeah thats incorporated into the msd opti, no need to change timing covers or pull dowels out of the cam, none of that hassle.
