It came light from the Factory, hence the "Stripper" name. It was weighed on a scale where they weigh things for shipping weights, and then at the track, and both had the same numbers after you factor out the weight of the fuel.
Who ever ordered it in 1995 knew exactly what they wanted, and never got around to building it I guess. It is a fast car, and it was suprising the hell out of everyone at the track. It was estimated at low to mid 13's, and it pulled a 13.0 on the first run. I have all the extra crap out of it, nothing fancy. Still has the carpets and stuff, I don't go that far like some of the Imports. I took out the AC stuff after it went out, but that is only 35lbs. It still has alot of stock stuff in it. It's my daily driver, it's just a hell of alot lighter than most of you guys. I even added weight with the LS1 Big Brakes, and the Eibach Springs. It even launched good with them, and they are for handling, not drag racing. I am pleased with it, and there is still more to come...

I figured someone would ask.. these are good also.
I ran the same 1/4 track(Memphis) when I first got it, and it only had a K&N Air Filter, and some shitty Hankook HRII tires, and it pulled a 13.89@100mph. I read that just about all stock LT1's were in the 14's, so I just kept my mouth shut, and built her up..

Good runs dude. You can definitely out run my LS1 on 1/4. I'll have to get a big stall to even hang w/ your times. How was the crowd in Memphis? I need a trip over there this fall. Headers are in and the "LS1" is running.

There was no one there, on Tuesdays no one is out. All the Imports show on Thursday. I made 13 passes that night, only 2 were in the 13's, the rest were 12's. A few were low 12.8's with under 2.0 60' times. Then finally I got my 12.782 with that 1.939, and I was like it's good..

hmm my car weighs in at 3450, full tank of gas. 94 z28, still has ac, rear seats, stereo. Only weight savings at this point were bbk shorties instead of factory manifolds.
Nice numbers! Yeah the driveshaft swap dosen't take more than 5-10 mintues, it goes right in.
