Default Throttle body problem.

Hey, I posted this a long time ago but don't think it got very far. I bought a holley 52mm tb and installed it on my 96 ta. When i start the car, the throttle linkage rests on the idle screw, but when i hit the gas, the linkage doesn't go back to the screw. It sticks just before it hits it. This causes my idle to be in the 1000-1500 range. It also cause my car to downshift roughly from 2to1. What do you guys think.

Thanks, Mike

Consensus is it is a crappy TB you are far from the only one with that problem.

There have been problems with that, call Holley to see what they tell you. I've been lucky with mine
