it takes about 5-6 hrs to get the six speed in, thats the easy part i think, i changed my computer and wiring harnesses, that took awhile. it all depends if you want to hot wire it or not. personally i wouldnt. i wouldnt want a auto computer in with a six speed.

i used the original wiring harness from the auto it has the essientials you need to run the car with a 6 speed, VSS, and reverse lights, i dont have CAGS or reverse lockout, i just had pcm4less do a tune and convert my stock A4 computer to a M6 computer and im doing fine here, for me the hardest part was pulling installing the trannies, but then again im pretty good with fab, wiring, only took me about 2 hours to get the holes cut for the shifter and master cylinder and get all the wiring done on the inside.... its not really that hard at all technically speaking, only thing that makes it a little difficult is the actual labor that has to be put into it

not having the reverse lock out sucks... i didnt have it at first on my car, then i did the wiring change... its not that hard.. i would say from start to finish its about a 15-18 hour job... just take your time.. i think the thing i spent the most time on was the pedals... they were kinda a pain to get the hole in there and making sure it was big enough for the master cylinder... just getting everything aligned properly (the first time anyways..lol) was the hardest part... but it was a fun project.. well worth it to me.. i went through 5 autos... and im still on my DD used M29.... and trust me it has seen alot of milage and abuse...lol
