yes it can, but if you put nitrous or anything else that makes the engine need more fuel you have to get another fuel pump. but yes you can use the 30lbers.

stock pump and 42 lb injectors is just like wasting your money. you can put 42lbers on there and you wont have a problem at all but to be effiecent for anything you should upgrade to a 255 racetronix pump.

A pump will only supply so much volume and pressure it is not affected by injector size atall.

That said if you need 30lbs injectors the stock pump will not feed the engine.

The stock pump on an LT1 is 25 gallon/hour

FUEL REQUIREMENTS
Typically, at wide open throttle, full power, an engine requires 0.5 lbs. of fuel per horsepower every hour. A gallon of gasoline weighs approximately 6 lbs. Therefore an engine rated at 350 horsepower will require about 175 pounds (29 gallons) of fuel every hour.

(350HP x .5 lbs = 175 lbs of fuel 175 lbs/6 lbs = 29 gallons per hour)

Fill in the flywheel HP of your engine to calculate the fuel required

Guess I should have talked to you first. Makes me wonder how my stock fuel pump holds 47 psi all the way down the track. Mine makes 522 hp at the wheels, runs 7000 at the finish line. Stock GM pump, regulator and lines with 42lb injectors, I can make black smoke at the finish line if I want to. Hmmm

I got that info directly from Holley and they make fuel pumps. My stock pump dropped to 28 psi above 5500 with 30# injectors. Maybe you got a really good stocker and I had a really bad one.

The math is evidently faulty. Remember, they are trying to sell injectors and fuel pumps. I put a new gauge sender & pump assy, straight from the GM dealer, in mine two years ago. Your old pump was dead, not too small.
