I would look at just getting your stock castings ported.

Those TFS heads for the LT1 are nice out of the box VS stock unported heads, but even higher levels of porting those heads dont show to be worth the money.

Where did you get that from? I thought Lloyd and AI were making sweet numbers with those heads ported. I'm to lazy to dig up the post though. Anyways for the most part I agree. Get your stockers done up for the money and youll find the extra power you seek and more and if you dont have a cam for your setup that would be the icing on the cake. What are your reviews for the LT1 STS setup? I kinda want one for my 12.1 C/R setup

296in 201ex @ .600 210cc TFS head from AI.

Spend the money on stockers and flow 283in 197ex @ .600.

You are probably looking to drop compression some so you can raise boost right???

If so might I suggest you buy Trickflows from AI Summit has them as cast assembled for $1360, AI has a couple different porting levels but they start at $2195 and that includes the bare casting that they work and assemble.

I disagree, the exhaust flow on them is MUCH better than a stock casting will ever get to. just for reference, mine flow 300int/220ex @ .600 lift.

However, I down have a blown application so I don't know how this would affect your performance, but I know for my N/A setup i am definitely glad I went with the TFS castings

I agree with 96 capricemgr With the 64cc combustion chamber they are much better suited for a boosted car. Lower compression. AI can work a sweet set of TF heads for your application.

Yeah you can't mill them much to get the compression up. I've had a set in the shop move 306cfm/240cfm on a 212cc port with 2.055/1.60" valves.

How much compression can be lost with a ton of porting and a thicker gasket?

Thick gasket hurts quench and therefore increses likelyhood of detonation despite the compression drop.

WOW, who did the work on those? Airflow Development? That is pretty huge in the exhaust department, 80% of intake flow, be nice for a dual pattern cam.
