Default More Horsepower?

My #'s are in the sig. How do you think these are? I have the stock fuel injection setup that the truck came with. However, not a whole lot of people are swapping cams in these engines, so its hard to make a comparison. I'm just looking for some suggestions as to where I could find some more power. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Thats a good point! I was able to richen it up with the Maf translator to get My A/F around 13:1 on the wideband (which produced the best numbers) But I'm not sure how to calculate the duty cycle of my injectors. I could mess with the regulator to get more fuel presure. But I dont know if anyone has done that before. They dont make after market injectors for my setup, so I'm not sure which route to take. I will have access to Auto-tap very soon. And I have tapped my truck before. But I have never looked at injector pulse width or duty cycle. Could someone explain how to? Thanks!

Is there any way to log information from the computer? Or get to a WBO2? I wonder if you are having lean issues with the stock injectors on that vehicle.

I know on my set up i see 100%+ duty cycle in the upper 5k range...

Ya know what would be hot for your setup? The Chevy Ram Jet manifold designed for Vortec heads that uses the LS1 throttle body. That and the newest Accel DFI would probably be worth 75 RWhp on your engine with a good tune. That tall manifold would easily clear you truck hood, too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

They do make injectors that you can use, but you will have to get a 'tune' to use them correctly. You can up the FP and that would help probably, do you know the rating of the injectors?

I dont use Atap so i am of no help there. But there should be a cell with Duty Cycle or Pulse Widths, this will be a number less than say 30.00, on mine I think 25.XX is getting over 100% duty cycle, but if you can get that info, there are plenty of people using Atap to help ya for sure.

A different intake system would be cool, but might be more costly than you are wanting.

Could you tell me where I could buy these injectors? I think they would be worth the "tune" and the money.....if they give me the gains I need. I called up Ed Wright, and told them what I was running on the wideband. However the only thing they mentioned was the fuel pressure. It does make sense that I would be maxing out these injectors because they're only rated at 19lbs. Its just frustrating that I cant even put down 300 to the wheels with what I've done. Does anyone know how much a mostly stock LT1 puts down with the LT4 Hot Cam? I'm also looking for any suggestions that people might have to diagnose the "missing link".......besides nitrous, I've already been told that quite a few times. I really appreciate the help!

Silverado, I have a HOT cam 350ci that is comparable to your truck engine. I believe I make the extra HP with the LT1's superior induction system. Really, look into the Vortec Ram Jet manifold.

The injectors are inside the intake manifold, attacked to the fuel lines coming from the fuel distribution block inside the intake manifold. That is one of the main reasons that I abandoned the truck project and got a camaro. I had already maxed out the truck without spending serious cash for another intake. I had a 96 vortec 350 with a powerdyne, thorley headers, true duals, intake, jacobs ign, underdrives, hypertech, etc... It just wansn't getting any faster after a while, and wasn't going to go much faster. TPIS does sell a LT1 intake modified to fit on vortec heads. It may be the way to go if you really want a bad truck project.

Thanks for confirming the issue on the injectors. I know all about our injection system. The whole reason I built this setup is because I had a nitrous backfire on the previous setup. What the explosion didn't destroy, the fire that followed did. I rebuilt the top end, and the injection system twice. I'll see if I can tune it a little more messing with the fuel pressure etc. Maybe some fuel injector service company does make injectors, but not that I know of. Thanks!
