Default Do any of you have the Accel cold air kit?

I was wondering if any of you run this kit, part number 74100 that is. What kind of gains did you see? I like this one over the FIPK because it uses a foam filter, which will flow just as well as the cotton gauze types but traps more dirt. Where did you buy it from? Summit sells it for under $190 but they are out of stock.

Basically the cold air kits for LT1's are a matter of eye appeal as opposed to comparable performance gains. They all produce roughly about the same. So go with whats aesthetically pleasing to you <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I guess I just wasn't sure if the foam air filter of the Accel could produce as much power as the K&N types, even though supposedly they do (while still trapping more dirt)

I've seen multiple test on this very subject. K&N's real claim to fame (from them) is the fact that they can still flow a decent amount of air even with the filter continuing to get dirtier and dirtier. With re-usable filters its mainly going to come down to what setup that looks best in your opinion.
