they seem pretty reasonable and ive heard nothing but good things from other board members. do a search and see what you can come up with. i dont know if it will return as many results for lt1s as it will ls1s. but if i were you i would get the assembled block and bottom end but would leave off the heads. with one of their 383 short blocks w/o forged internals you'd be better off buying a set of port pros, afrs, or llyods. while they do have some porting you can go with some better options(i.e. 2.02"/1.60", 200cc runners, and according combustion chambers for what youre going for.) basically what im trying to say is you can make more power for less or equal to the price of an assembled motor.

That's what I was planning if I can't fix mine that's in it already. I was going to send my Heads off, and have them ported. Probably have them done by Port Pros. The Cam I was looking at for that Motor was Comp Cam 230/236, 576/570, 113 LSA. It should be a decent combo.
