Modified floors for true duals
Modified floors for true duals I saw a long time ago, a post on where somebody had cut the floors and boxed in the floors for mufflers under the car. Has anybody done this recently or are there pictures on the web for me to see? If anybody knows what I'm talking about please post a link to the thread or pictures.
I've got Kooks headers, 3" true duals with a pair of Spin Tech prostreet mufflers which are 4" tall. Having clearance issues getting the mufflers flush against the floor.

I have hooker long tubes with a X pipe, and dual exhaust back to the axle. There is a little dip in the floor pan that is right next to the g load brace area that I believe is the lowest point on the car. If you run the pipes very close to the tunnel you should have no problems with clearance, but if you have a spohn torque arm or similar like myself you will have to run them about 6in away from the tunnel. I had to flatten the dip in the floor pan a little to provide clearance. You might want to ditch the spinteck mufflers, and try something else to give you a little more room to work with. Plus I hear that spintechs are not the best when it comes to HP numbers.
