Default Supercharging question

If I install a Procharger P1SC on my stock block and heads LT1 I know I need to at least get the LT4 intake but what size injectors and how many lbs per hour should I adjust the fuel pressure reg at. Also what cam would work best and who does the best blower tuning for a 97 computer.

you do not have to upgrade to the larger intake or bigger injectors to run safe. Your car will run fine under 8PSI with the intercooler. Nothing more though, because it will blow the engine. Too much compression. Adding the LT4 intake and 30MPG injectors will add about 30hp, and thats about it. If you want to run nitros with the S/C, you have to upgrade to the heavy duty stuff.

If you go to an LT4 intake, you'll also need LT4 heads.

"Adding the LT4 intake and 30MPG injectors will add about 30hp, and thats about it. "

Where'd ya get that from? Adding an LT4 intake will gain you about as much as porting an LT1 intake which equals about ZERO for your time. You can run LT4 intakes on LT1 heads but the port angles are different. The only time injectors will do anything for you is if the ones your using aren't sufficient. With the stock block and 8#'s of boost with an FMU you have no need of anything you ask about. Put the blower on and go have fun.

Well it is almost a sin at how much I am going to pay from this guy who had it on a 383 car. All it needs is a new pulley it is throwing belts.

What if I want to up the boost to 10 or 12 and get the bigger pulleys...what should I change then?

If I go with the lt4 intake more then likely I will go with lt4 heads also...except ported.

Thanks guys.

If you want to run that much boost you are going to need to get differnt pistons for sure. And i think you will also need some strong connection rods and crank,

You'll also need smaller pulleys if you want to up the boost. Bigger = less boost.

You think correctly Unless you are ready for a rebuild or have another shortblock waiting in the wings its pointless to run that much boost on the stock cast pistons. I destroyed mine with only 6# of boost. I guess if you drive your car like an old timer who doesn't enjoy the thrill of the ride anymore than you can get away with it. But most guys on this board don't spend the cash on their cars to drive them that way. You can get away with the stock rods and crank but pistons are a must.

Your also going to have to address your fuel and tuning with more boost. If you don't keep your air/fuel ratio in line then your going to go "pop" real quick. Blower cars need more attentive care than a naturally aspirated ride...
