Default Lt1 intake porting

Do any of you experienced racers know where i can get my intake cut and ported ? LPE ported it but i was told that to get the most out of it the intake needs to be cut ported and rewelded. Any info would be great ... Reason i am asking is because i plan on upgrading to a bigger cam, any recomindations?

GTP just did my setup and basic porting on the intake was all that was needed. Take a good look at your intake. Really can't take that much out of it, other than porting the runners, and cutting the front open more to a 58mm TB. Not worth it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

LT1 intakes are very good to begin with, cant really port them and get a lot of HP because they already flow great. like the above statement, the only realy porting that might be benificial is to open up the throtle body opening in the intake to 58mm.

The BIGGEST improvement is by welding the roof over every port and then raising ti till the port is symtrical...

Then again this only really helps on extreme cubic inch /RPM motors <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
