stall converter and OBD1
<strong> the computer really only has a problem with the shifting. for some reason, anything 2800 and above and the car will bounce off the revlimiter before shifting or wont shift at all until you let off for a second. just reprogram the computer, adjust shift points, or raise the revlimiter a little bit. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The processing speed of the OBDI is too slow to keep up, it freaks out and goes to Limp Home Mode. I ran a ST3500 with no problems unless I brake stalled it, then it would: 1st gear, bang limiter, then 3rd gear.
Messing with all the LT1edit stuff did not change that. I had the limiter set at 6700 and hit is several times, along with all the other stuff that could be changed. Code can be changed and PCMforLess has had a good run on fixing it.
Some cars have the problem and others dont. You will know it when you do.
