For 383 LT1 , do we need MSD Ignition Systems ??
Hi ,
Our car is still hasn't the MSD Ignition Systems ( Ignition Boxes )
With our new 383 c.i. , do we need for this Ignition Boxes ?? also do we need for MSD wires and Ignition Coils ???

I don't know what year your car is, but the 96-97 (OBD2) ignition systems are stronger than previous years.
My car made 634rwhp on the stock ignition (no msd or aftermarket coil), with the exception of plugs and wires.

the only thing I did was upgrade my opti to a 95 version. I'm running an accel coil and taylor wires. Just got my 383 back from being built but seems plenty strong with fairly stock ignition.

stock ignition is fine, no need to upgrade really. Wires and plugs are the only thing i would worry about...with headers, I cant have wires ANYWHERE near the headers or they melt.
