lt5 wtf u ever heard of one
for everone who didnt read the article or the link, heres a short summary- the lt5 was a DOHC 32 valve motor like said above that was built by a seperate company (mercury marine) that was not in house at gm it was one serious motor and with some work is very very powerful, they were only available in the ZR1 vettes from the factory, the lt5 like the ls7 was hand assembled, in 1986 the first vettes were sent to lotus in england to be converted to the lt5 platform, 80 zr1s were made in 89 but none were sold to the public, zr1 is first made available to the public in 1990 with the 375 hp lt5 motor, in 1993 the lt5 was upped to 405 hp from the factory, 1995 is the last year for the zr1/lt5 model if i missed anything please add it in

Man I would love to have that Chevelle, but I bet the guy selling it would want some serious coin, I wonder how many hours have gone into that car
for high performance ZR-1 Corvettes. It has a twin fuel injection system, 4 overhead cams and 32 valves, and by the 1990's gives 405 bhp and 385 torque. At low speeds only one intake valve operates-the second opens past 3500rpm.
