Yep, same here. They are not that bad to do if you have a racheting wrench or thin walled deep well socket...it does take time I'll say that.

Once you get it all done, plugs are a breaze (as far as LT1 F bodys go) though....The only ones I do from the bottom are the rear 2 passengers.

I love the way my car sounds with the hookers. They also gave it a lot more power..

it will sound alot better than the manifolds. the power increase is what will really make you smile though

mine sounds even better (and alot louder) now that i switched to a 1-7/8 primary, 3.5" collector header

Darren, you got your new headers on? How do you like them? How was the fit? Any possibilities of retaining the heater box with some modification?

Let me know
Thanks, Jason

you could probably modify the heater box enough to make them fit. i thought somebody had already done that? dont know who.

found something else out that i didnt know when i got them though, they will not fit with the factory steering rack and shaft. i had to get a manual rack from Madman so they would fit. not THAT big of a deal since i was going to get one eventually anyways.

lets not even talk about doing plugs/wires on them

overall i still like them a lot better than the Hookers. the quality and fit are much nicer, they just weren't intended to be used on a street car

I was going to say, I had the stock steering rack, arm, and heater box in my car with the Hookers and they fit just fine. Only close issues I had with mine were a couple wires and one of the brake lines that runs along the drivers side frame.

Do you have any pics of the Hedmans??

Thats good i was not looking forward to having to change that crap. Even though i am thinking about removing that big black box from the fire wall. Will my heater still work??? It gets cold in Ny even in the summer a heater is a must.

Ditto on the brake lines. I was starting to think I was the only one with the brake line issues. Did yours rub thru like mine did? One in 2000 and the other in 2002. I checked other friends Z28 w/Long Tubes and they had plenty of room. My primaries were right up against that shield covering the lines and after a few months the pipes rubbed through. Fortunately I was only going about 20 mph when the brake pedal went to the floor. Thank god for emergency brakes. Lol. Please check your long tube installs for brake line clearance!!

when i installed my supercharger i had to relocate my brake lines. But i will double check. I have the tendancy to drive my car to its limits and the last think i need is to have the breaks go out at 150+mph. I think that would be a bad ending for me and my car.....thanks for the heads up.
