good idea yes or no. lt4 topend package on a '97lt1 then add turbo or procharger? or keep the lt1 topend and add turbo or procharger...ooorr put some lt4 heads that flow around 300cfm and a good cam in . of course this will have all the other little mods, exhaust etc.. this will be on a 6 speed. i want to run pump gas and looking for very low 11's. so many options to choose from.

I would stick with my lt1 intake and just get some heads that will flow 300cfm. I also would get some forged pistons that will lower your compression down to say 9:1 and then put on the supercharger. Oh yea, dont forget about the blower cam. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

 

I agree with the others. The price you pay for the LT4 package would be better spent elsewhere. If you really want LT4's though, and have the cash, go with the AFR LT4 heads, especially since you are considering forced induction.

 

My personal ideas are to get the LT1 heads P&P'd, get a decent size cam that compliment the heads. Pull some weight out of the car, then spray it to your final destination.

I have the LT4 stuff, I have alot of $$ in it and not much to show for it...
