Corey,
Spartus was having this problem back when he ran underdrive crank pulley. Even with an overdrive alt pulley he had barely enough power to keep the car running at idle at times.

You have to be draining some juice to have that. I have a 34% reduction Crank Puley, and the stock Alternator Pulley. I have never had any problems with mine..I checked the voltage with High Beams on, and Doors open so all the lights were on when it was at idle to see what it was, and it was barely below midway. I have the 140A high-output, so maybe he might need a bigger Alternator.

I'm using a optima red top, the smaller one, and I only notice a slight drain if I have the hibeams on and the fans on high. If I just flip the fans on it dips for a second and then it comes back up.
Someone makes a replacement/underdrive balancer? I had looked and looked when I ordered my underdrive pullies and I couldn't find one.

yea, they do.... they are rather pricey too.
Matt,
even the OD alt pulley wasn't enough? Did he ever kill a battery? was his car packed with a bangin' system, or it simpley messed the ability to charge? Just curious.

I've been using the ASP 23% underdrive pulley for 10 years with no ill effects...Maybe it was me, but the car seemed to rev faster with it...Dynos were not the norm back then so we did not do back to back tests, but it felt as though it was working...I dunno...I dropped .2 tenths with one on my old GN, so I figured that it would help an N/A set up...
The ASP balancer/pulley set up is the way to go if you want to use one...imho...

guess it would be called throttle response. just seemed as i didnt have to give it as much gas as before. seemed to climb quicker. dunno
all i know is i am having charging issues, and it seemed to have started within weeks of installing the pulley.
go with the ASP as someone else stated

I have had the March dually piggyback and I now have the ASP intergrated pulley. I really like the ASP pulley better than the March.
Either way I paid less that $75.00 for both of my UD pulley sets. Just look for a used set but I would not pay full price for new. There are very minor gains here.
