If you've never done it before it will take ya a few hours. It's just bolts, but not that bigga deal at all. You can do it all from the top too, but a couple of the bolts are easier to get to from the bottom.

better get it outta there soon if its leaking or you could risk it frying your optispark. And if the opticrap is showing any signs of wear this would be the perfect time to replace that as well.

Mine crapped out just before the extended warranty expired, they even replaced the optispark. If you have any mechanical experience tackle the job yourself. The rewards of doing it yourself are gratifying.

Yeah it only takes a few hours. Just like they said above. Replace that opti now if it is not new

i had some inquiries about electric waterpump installs and asked JB from www.racenet.net about it and he gave me this link for installing an electric water pump. It shows the procedure for how to get the stocker off and im assuming reverse the steps for reinstallation. check this out, it may help... http://www.projecttransam.com/projects9.asp

Took me about 7 hours to put in my new Opti the first time I did it. Got to do it again the next day because I had put it in 180 out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Then, a couple weeks later, the small round oil seal around the pin drive off the cam was leaking a bit. Most people would ignore it, but my car cannot have leaks, so everything came off again.

Anyway, it gets quicker with practice. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Always, always, always bleed the cooling system after this. That reverse flow system does not tolerate air very well.
