cooling system question

Default cooling system question

i put in a new radiator a few days ago and the low water light keeps coming on and when i top off the radiator it spits it back out as soon as i drive down the road a little. its coming out of the coolant resevoir.

Sounds like you have the top two small hoses backwards on the radiator below the cap.

Or............a blown head gasket pressurizing the coolant system.

sounds like your sensors bad or you didnt hook it up. its half way down the radiator on the left side.


your over filling it so when it heats up the water has no where to exspand to.. and it dumping.

i bet you're right because the top two small hoses are kinda bent so you can tell which tube they go on, and i have been refilling it all the way to the rim so i bet i was just putting in too much, i need to find the happy medium. thanks

The one from the coolant tube off the heads go to the lower nipple. The one to the overflow goes on the upper nipple.
