This is what happens to an Engine that gets water in it. This is a LS1...was a LS1.

Don't know, it was in a rain storm. That's why I like my Iron Block..a little more durable. Something like that might have the same result though.

There is a ramair kit for the b-body that puts a scoop in the airdam and this is exactly why those of us with a brain discourage the rest from using it. I know one guy who did similar damage to an LT1 in an Impala, I think he even said one head was damaged. The reason that kit is SSSSOOOOOOO bad for the b-body is we have two ramair kits that get air from on top of the core support with a stock hood so putting a scoop in the airdam on a car with kits that mount that high readily available is stupid.
