They all have similar performance except flowmaster which sucks somewhat compared to the others, and the mufflex 4" or something like that is somewhat better.

For the most part pick the one you want based on sound and cost, those are far more distinctive features than the relatively minor performance differences, assuming your just starting off with a catback. If you're designing a large series of major mods then you might look at it a little differently.

yeah with just that it doesn't really matter too much. just don't get flowmaster.

By major mods I meant heads/cam/stroker/turbo, etc.

yeah with a cutout it doesn't really matter, that's going to flow better than any catback

Good Call

A cutout is a cheap way to quickly dump the exhaust for a quick increase in HP by virtually eliminating all backpressure.

I had one on my truck, and after awhile it gets annoying. Don't get me wrong I love them, but I wanted a nice sounding exhaust.
Anyone who gets a cutout first will eventually get a nice exhaust to go with it, because running no back pressure all the time is not good for the rings, and who wants to run the cutout all the time.
( I know some of you crazy bastards do )

I love my Loudmouth. Sounds great all the time.

It's not that large of a gain though, maybe 5-10 max.
