around how many horses will i bet looking @ and an estimate of how bad my gas mileage would be
dual knn cai
tornado air system
ram air induction
throttle body spacer
there's no point and not really any performance gain in the above,
id ditch the hot cam, there are much better cams then that, also no mentition of a stall if you go with a bigger cam you'll need one, if your shooting for mpg Vs HP there is toss up, what do you really want? you can have relatively awesome horse power and good mpg or all out crazy horse powerand poor mpg,
Why crap on his thread? Make you feel big? Had he wanted a Prius I'm sure he would have bought one. FYI, modern fuel injected cars can be made to perform well and get decent fuel economy. Do you have a problem with that?

if you drive it with a heavy foot you will notice decreased MPG vs heavy foot on stock car because you arent using as much fuel...
but if you drive it conservatively then you will get great MPG maybe even better because of the less restrictive parts..
now if its 4.10s in an auto your HWY MPG will be crap
if its manual then it will be awesome if you use 6th gear
edit: go with ported LT1 intake and heads, cheaper and better gains/more effiencent.
with the setup you described prolly around 340-350 whp

I'm with you Dwayne!
LT4 stuff is old tech. and overrated!!
the heads... port the stockers. See 96caprices sig? yea, those are stock ported heads.
The intake... good luck finding one for less than 800. then when you do, you will need to have highly ported LT4 heads to even make use of the extra matterial to port match them. an LT1 intake's runners are the same as cast.
Hot cam? kinda over rated. Many better choices now with faster ramps for a better idle and more power at the same duration at .050.
LT4 timing chain... why? stocker giving you ****?
4.10's... stick: go for it. Auto: it will f*cking rock off the line, but milage will suffer, quite abit. Likely still pull 20mpg on the hwy.
dual K&N CAI... One filter will cut it.
Toranado?
"if you find one on an F-body, hit owner with 2x4."Ram air... no comment.
TB spacer? Why? this isn't a Carb engine. most use a spacer with N2O nozzles in it.
now that your pride has been dented... and I'm done being an ******* in this thread, start to rethink your game plan for a much better bang for buck solution.
What stuff is done to the car as it sits? doing your supporting bolt ons before a heads and cam swap makes ALOT more sence, and will yeild much better results. Lotta people have already made these mistakes, don't make anouther case of it.
you could see 315 rwhp with bolt ons alone. COULD, not will.

and yes i plan on haveing a tb spacer w/ n2o ports in it. not an outragously big shot bt something like a 125. this car will be a daily driver so all suggestoins are helpful.
as for wahts done to it. i'm not quite sure other than flowmasters. i'm buying the car from a friend girl of mine that knows absolutely nothing about cars. she just told me that her brother has done some things to and and he and her boyfriend streetrace it sometimes. and i can't get intouch w/ him to find out whats done
start with your basic bolt ons, intake, headers and catback, pcm (mail order custom tune), valve springs, 1.6 rockers, then a higher stall and deeper gears(will hurt milage, but you gotta compromose to go fast). bolts ons, then heads and cam. but it's a good idea to make a list so your parts will work together.
Mods don't increase gas mileage. Most bolt-ons allow your motor to breathe better which in turn will use more gas. In other words, if you want to keep pristine gas mileage, don't mod your car. Or do what most of us do- get a daily driver and keep the F-Body as a weekend car.
My advice would be to read up this forum, search around, and read the newbie FAQ. Just absorb as much knowledge as you can before you start to mod so you don't have to spend more money to replace crap parts that you bought when you didn't know much about the car.
