I would get the Meziere. Take it from someone who knows. I have been thru THREE CSI waterpumps within the last 4 years. My car is NOT a DD so that ought to tell you how crappy they are. All three of them ended up dying in similar ways. Mainly they siezed up, the bolts on the housing came loose and caused the motor to sieze up. I have been using the Meziere HD unit for over a year now with not one problem. For your case, I would just recommend getting the standard Meziere version.

Honestly, for a STOCK car I think a CSI would be ok, but if you got a cam and your car is a runner, IMO the CSI's are garbage. I think the main problem was that the bolts on the housing kept vibrating loose. Maybe CSI needs to put some kinda locktite on there or something. I was very disappointed with them. It's ashame it took me three times to learn my lesson lol

What I would do is remove the 4 bolts ONE AT A TIME, and put some red loctite on them and tighten them back in. I am talking about the 4 allen bolts that hold the actual motor together, not the bolts that hold the water pump to the factory housing.

DSMkilla....I heard it takes more than minor modification to run the meziere HD pump in an f-body. What all did you have to do to make it fit? Got any pics?

....we are talking LT1.....in the "LT1-LT4 Modifications" section. Meziere DOES in fact make a heavy duty unit capable of 55 gpm (depending on where you read the spec description) for LT1's.

Since I couldn't find help on this forum for making the HD pump fit an f-body, here's a link to more info I found on another forum, for those interested:

Ive been running my CSI for almost a year now with absolutely no problems. Its not a DD but does see a bit of abuse when i take it out.
I might go check the bolts though now, I thought i used stock bolts?
