My CSI pump has been on mine for 4 years and 50,000 miles, no problems so far, but I do carry a spare with me.

I have a Meziere and installed it with the Painless wiring kit...Been on for a year and works well. You have to trim the fan shroud a hair to clear the pump. It does run much cooler at idle and in traffic, but I've noticed a slight increase in temp while at cruise, which is probably because the EWP runs at a constant speed regardless of engine rpm...Before and after dyno #s on my car with a Mustang Dyno revealed 9-10 rwhp across the entire tested rpm range...Its a good mod imho...

yup, the EWP flows more at idle than the mechincal, but less at higher rpms.

didn't know painless made a kit for the electric water pump?

Yep, its around $25, but its got all the wiring you need, including a circuit breaker and a relay...

Thanks BlazerINtheWORK. Also, does anyone have experience with the meziere heavy duty ewp (the 50 gpm model)? The description on the thunder racing website says it requires modification to make it fit. How much modification and what all is involved to make it fit?

For anybody that has the AIR pump removed, you can wire the ewp through the AIR relay and fuse. Thats how I have mine wired works great.
